poStnATURAL hiSTORY
For thousands of years, humans have deliberately altered the living world. By breeding plants and animals, they have impacted their evolutionary trajectory, often in surprising ways.

Post-natural history traces the intentional modification of life by humans, through processes such as domestication, selective breeding, and more recently genetic engineering.

The Museum of PostNatural History aims to study the origins, habitats, and evolution of postnatural organisms. It records the traces of the influence of human culture on evolution.

THE project
problem
Traditional natural history museums have a blind spot:
modified organisms usually cannot be found on display anywhere.
NEED
Engineering life is a sensitive and controversial topic. There is a need for a free space where one can get inform, think and discuss this topic.
SOLUTION
The aim of creating a Museum is to provide the public with a permanent exhibition space based on postnatural specimens, the first of its kind in Europe.
founding members
Our Team is composed of 4 founding members, a scientific & cultural committee, and volunteers.
