Produced by the Nature Museum of Valais, in collaboration with the Center for PostNatural History, this exhibition explores the portion of the living world that has been intentionally and heritably modified by humans. This story, spanning from the Neolithic revolution to the genomic revolution, is presented in the Penitentiary of Sion, a typical 20th century prison, where each cell reveals a specimen and its manipulation. From the wolf to the E. coli bacteria, from the canary to genetically modified corn, the exhibition aims to question the boundary between natural and artificial.
