ICOM Prague 2022

The MHPN participated at ICOM Prague 2022 and presented its project with the conference "Innovating witht a new Museum of PostNatural History".

The 26th edition of the ICOM triennial General Conference was held in Prague from August 20 to 28, 2022. It is one of the most significant global events dedicated to the museum world. MHPN had the opportunity to present its project during a conference by Gil Oliveira and Nicolas Kramar. They presented:

- how the project to create a post-natural history museum in Switzerland came about;

- how this project led to the collaboration of the Valais Museum of Nature and the Center for PostNatural History (USA) to co-produce the exhibition Artificial.

- how the Artificial exhibition has served the MHPN in return, essentially through the acquisition of new specimens and collection objects.
